The auxiliary tank LRA is designed for Jeep Wrangler JK 2.8 CRD Diesel models produced from 2007 to 2018. Installed on the left side of the driveshaft, it adds an extra 65 liters of fuel in order to increase the vehicle's range for long-distance travel, expeditions, or off-road use.

This configuration retains the original exhaust and spare tire location. The fuel tank uses a dual-fill system and is exclusively compatible with diesel versions of the Wrangler JK.

Since 1989, LONG RANGE AUTOMOTIVE designs and manufactures its tanks in AustraliaEach model is developed for a specific vehicle application. The objective is to optimize the available volume while respecting the mechanical constraints of the chassis, filling, exhaust and transmission.

The reservoirs LRA are made of 2 mm T125CQ steel. They incorporate internal baffles to limit fuel movement, as well as an expansion chamber. Before being sold, they undergo pressure tests and several quality control checks. Tests are also carried out on dozens of kilometers of heavily degraded tracks. These tests verify the tank's resistance to vibrations, repeated twisting, impacts, and the stresses of prolonged off-road use.

The installation time is estimated at approximately 5 hours. The tank integrates with the vehicle's standard exhaust system and does not require relocating the spare tire.

We also do use the pickup in the forest, with brushes and stumps on its ways. So, we decided to replace the original skid plates with something sturdier. Almont4WD skid plates are sturdier than the original, definitely! All vulnerable parts are covered, there is one plain level from front to back, with no screws sneaking and ready to be torn off.
