James Baroud Grand Raid Luggage Bag: secure transport of your sleeping bag

THE James Baroud luggage bag The Grand Raid tent carrier allows you to easily transport your sleeping gear (mattress + sleeping bags + pillows) between bivouac sites, for winter storage, or to move bedding from one tent to another. Custom-designed to the exact dimensions of the James Baroud mattress, it protects the foam and cover during handling.

Durable 600D ripstop polyester, reinforced bottom, two handles Roof Racks Sturdily sewn: the bag withstands heavy use. The full-length YKK zipper makes loading and unloading the mattress effortless. When folded compactly, it fits in any car trunk.

What is its intended use?

The bag is the essential accessory for those who practice seasonal bivouacking: you dismantle your Rooftop Tent In autumn, you can store your mattress, cover, and duvets in it for cellar/garage storage, protected from dust and rodents. It's also ideal for transporting your bedding by plane or train (compact when folded, sturdy when folded) to reach your vehicle at your destination.

Installation and maintenance

No setup required: the bag arrives ready to use. To store, fold the mattress in half lengthwise, slide it into the bag, and close the zipper. To clean: wipe with a damp sponge and mild soap. Avoid washing in the washing machine (the bottom reinforcements may be damaged). Store flat or hanging.

What size to choose?

Adjust the size to fit your Grand Raid tent's mattress: Grand Raid M → JB-462300, Grand Raid X → JB-462305, Grand Raid XL or Extreme XL → JB-462310.

Compatible with other mattress brands?

The dimensions are calibrated for James Baroud, but a generic mattress of similar dimensions will fit.

Waterproof?

Splash-proof and resistant to moderate rain, but not completely waterproof. For transport in heavy rain, use a tarpaulin as well.

Yes, 12 months manufacturer's warranty on seams and zippers.

We also do use the pickup in the forest, with brushes and stumps on its ways. So, we decided to replace the original skid plates with something sturdier. Almont4WD skid plates are sturdier than the original, definitely! All vulnerable parts are covered, there is one plain level from front to back, with no screws sneaking and ready to be torn off. The parts are to mount easyly, and vehicle maintenance still is an easy job, too. Almont4WD is an excellent choice for the one who need the ultimate skid protection.
